It's a logical action when you voice is ignored.Īs for the "all women should make a pledge" thing, how about an alternative, let's have a pledge not to rape people in general. People take to social media to tell them their experience when the police or other agencies can't do anything. The fact is that rapes are rarely filed, many women have been sexually harassed and haven't gone to the police because they don't think it'll be resolved and there is a stigma to getting raped or sexually harrased. I knew a girl who was raped in highschool and no one believed her because their wasn't "hard evidence" the guy ended up going to prison 3 years later for raping another girl which was interrupted by others and admitted that he raped the girl in highschool after he was released. You seem to not understand how difficult it is to charge for rape, its nearly impossible unless it's done right after. You think its right to shame her for that? Fucking weirdo. It might be easy for you to go into a court room and recount something as traumatic as that, but she couldnt. Yall need to take some psychology classes or something because you clearly understand nothing about the human mind and how trauma affects everyone differently. Until theres proof its not true (which as far as I know theres PROOF TO BACKUP ITS TRUE) I'm going to side with her. I'm not even saying that she is telling the truth, its not my place to make that call, but i'm not going to victim blame and or shame. Might sound pussy as fuck but some people just feel more comfortable that way. yes youre still telling strangers, recounting your trauma, but you have that security of doing it on your own terms, and behind a screen. It's not an easy task, whereas, it takes 2 seconds to type a message, and you're behind a screen. Try sitting in a court room full of strangers and recounting your trauma. Your point is? That doesnt change anything.
